Vol. 471 No. 2

Written Answers. - Meath Hospital (Dublin) Services.

Ivor Callely

Question:

78 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health his views on the tremendous service being provided by the Meath Hospital, Dublin 8; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20519/96]

Limerick East): In anticipation of the transfer of services to the new Tallaght Hospital, the Meath Hospital is now part of a unified management structure together with the Adelaide Hospital and the National Children's Hospital, Harcourt Street.

I am aware of the Meath Hospital's long tradition of providing acute health care of the highest quality to the people of Dublin and I am confident that it will continue to fulfil this important role when its services transfer to the new hospital campus in Tallaght.
