31 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the total cost of non-civil or public service staff attached to his office in 1995; the anticipated costs in 1996; and if he will give the comparative figures for each of the years 1987 and 1988. [20003/96]
My office is staffed by permanent or temporary civil servants. Persons from outside the Civil Service who are employed in my office become temporary civil servants. The following is the cost of persons attached to my office who were recruited from outside the public service: 1995, £34,000; 1996, £60,000.
As my Department was established in January 1993 no comparative figures exist for the years 1987 and 1988.
