Vol. 471 No. 5

Written Answers. - Student Accommodation.

Seamus Brennan

Question:

133 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the need for suitable accommodation on a single campus for Dundrum Adult Training and Education, Dublin 14; if her attention has further been drawn to the 70 courses currently offered to 1,300 students attending classes in three different centres in the Dundrum area; her views on whether the work of Dundrum Adult Training and Education over the past 12 years by a voluntary committee has exceeded all expectations in difficult circumstances; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [21260/96]

I am aware of the valuable work undertaken by Dundrum Adult Training and Education since its inception. However, as a voluntary group, the acquisition of premises is primarily a matter for the organisation rather than for my Department.
