Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Mary Coughlan

Question:

109 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for the Environment when he will approve funding for a revised environmental impact assessment on a draft preliminary report for the proposed sewerage scheme in Donegal town. [22970/96]

Pending a decision from the European Commission on the application for assistance for the Donegal bay waste water management scheme, and having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve this proposal.

Mary Coughlan

Question:

110 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for the Environment if funding will be made available in the near future for the proposed Ballyshannon water scheme, County Donegal. [22971/96]

Contract documents for the Ballyshannon water supply scheme have been submitted to my Department. However, given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to advance the scheme.

Joe Walsh

Question:

111 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Environment if he will sanction the commencement of work on Castletownbere sewerage scheme, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22975/96]

The position is unchanged since the reply to Question No. 116 of 3 July 1996.
