163 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Education the dates on which any written submissions in relation to the Price Waterhouse report on the 1995 art examination and associated staffing issues were received by her Department from the unions representing staff in her examinations branch; the response to date by her Department to such submissions; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Two written submissions were received by the personnel section in my Department from unions representing staff in the examinations branch, one on 8 October 1996 and the other on 25 October 1996.
Receipt of these has been acknowledged and they are being considered at present within my Department as part of the organisation study of examinations branch currently being undertaken by officials from my Department and from the centre for management and organisation development in the Department of Finance.
