93 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if his attention has been drawn to the fact that an application for grant assistance has been submitted by the Virginia Community Theatre Group, County Cavan, under the INTERREG II programme; if he will support this application as referred to in his reply to a parliamentary question by Deputy Brendan Smith of 8 October 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An application for grant assistance under the Ireland-Northern Ireland INTERREG II programme was lodged with the Department of Finance on 25 November 1996 and subsequently forwarded to my Department. I confirm to the Deputy that I will give serious consideration to this application as part of the assessment process for applications under the programme.
