119 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for Justice when Judge Kevin Haugh was advised of his appointment to the Special Criminal Court; the way in which notice of his appointment was communicated to him; and the person who so informed him. [24065/96]

Judge Haugh was officially informed of his appointment to the Special Criminal Court by the chief clerk of the Dublin Circuit Court office in late September 1996 when he returned from vacation. The Dublin County Registrar had been informed by my Department on 6 September 1996.
