Question:98 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number and names of groups involved in rural development in counties Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo. [24775/96]
Written Answers. - Rural Development Groups.
The groups involved in rural development in the aforementioned counties which come within the remit of my Department are the following:—

In addition to these Meitheal Forbartha na Gaeltachta implements the Leader II programme in all Gaeltacht areas and Comhdháil Oileáin na hÉireann implements the programme in all inhabited off shore islands. Both of these groups are operating in parts of Donegal county.
I am also aware that other bodies such as county enterprise boards, area partnership companies and a number of local community groups in these counties are working in the general area of rural development. However, they do not have a direct relationship with my Department.
