26 Mr. Callely asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the number of Bills published by his Department in 1996; the comparative figure in this regard for 1993; and the Bills which will be published in the first three months of 1997. [24996/96]
No Bills were published by the Department of Foreign Affairs in 1996. The following Bills were published in 1993: the Diplomatic and Consular Officers (Provision of Services) Bill; and the European Communities (Amendment) Bill, 1993.
I anticipate that the Geneva Conventions (Amendment) Bill 1997 will be published in the first three months of 1997.
Office of the Tánaiste:
The Freedom of Information Bill was published by the Office of the Tánaiste in 1996.
No Bills were published in 1993 and none will be published in the first three months of 1997.
