Vol. 473 No. 3

Written Answers. - Pension Arrangements.

Peadar Clohessy

Question:

65 Mr. Clohessy asked the Minister for Health if he intends to increase the pensions paid to district medical officers and their widows; if so, the amount of the increase; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25062/96]

Limerick East): The matters referred to by the Deputy are currently under discussion between the Irish Medical Organisation, which represents district medical officers, officials of the Department of Health and the health service employers agency. It would therefore not be appropriate for me at this time to make any further comment on these matters.
