Treacy asked the Minister for Education the reason a grant has not been sanctioned for a project (details supplied) in County Galway; the date on which sanction will be granted; the amount of grant to be allocated; if she will give details of the project to be grant aided; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Officials in my Department's building unit are currently considering applications from the school in question for grant-aid for the provision of a lift at the school and roof repairs. Additional information is awaited from the school authority in this regard. Approval to proceed with these works will be dependent on available resources.
