Question:12 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in completion of improvement works at St. Joseph's national school, Kinvara, County Galway. [1755/97]
Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.
A major building project comprising an extension and renovations at St. Joseph's national school, Kinvara, County Galway has been completed.
A report in respect of problems with an existing roof at the school was submitted to my Department in October 1996 with a recommendation from the Office of Public Works for additional works. These additional works were approved by my Department in November last.
I understand that the Office of Public Works is making arrangements for the execution of these works and I expect that they will be completed shortly.
