25 Miss Quill asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application for funding under the major sports facilities programme from a company (details supplied) in Galway; and if she will allocate funding in 1997 in this regard. [1758/97]
My Department has received an application for grant assistance under the major sports facilities scheme from the company in question. This application will be considered in the event of funding being provided for the scheme in 1997.
My Department has over 1,000 applications on hands and all applications will be fully considered in accordance with the published criteria for the selection of projects.
