Vol. 473 No. 6

Other Questions. - Stag Hunting.

Tony Gregory

Question:

28 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice the action, if any, taken regarding the numerous stag hunts carried out by the Ward Union Hunt without the necessary licence. [1350/97]

As the Deputy will be aware, the issue of a deer hunting — stag hounds — licence is a matter for my colleague the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht. In this case I have been informed by the Garda authorities that a number of complaints have been received in relation to the Ward Union Hunt club and they are currently under investigation.
