Question:

183 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Education the number of students from both the mainland and the islands who are in receipt of the remote areas' grant; and the number of these students who are in receipt of the full grant and part grant. [2018/97]

A total of 122 students are currently receiving grants under the remote area board grant scheme, of which 113 are island residents and nine reside on the mainland. Some 101 of the island students and all nine students from the mainland are in receipt of full grants.
