Question:251 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Justice if she will expedite a dealing in the Land Registry Office for a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [2296/97]
Written Answers. - Registration of Title.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this dealing refers to an application under section 49 (i.e. acquisition of title by virtue of long possession) of the Registration of Title Act, 1964, which was lodged on 30 January 1996. The latest queries were issued to the lodging solicitors on 27 January 1997 to which replies are awaited. The matter cannot proceed until the queries raised are satisfactorily discharged and it is, therefore, not possible to estimate a completion date at this stage.
