Vol. 473 No. 6

Written Answers. - Employment Rights.

Tony Gregory

Question:

270 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if he will assist an employee (details supplied) in Dublin 10 to obtain his entitlements to holiday pay and back money from his former employer. [2040/97]

There is no record in my Department of a claim having been received from the employee concerned. If the employee considers that he has not received his entitlements under the holidays or minimum notice legislation he may refer the matter to the employment rights section of my Department which will investigate the case. The employee also has the option, under the Payment of Wages Act, 1991, of referring a complaint regarding arrears of pay to the rights commissioner service at Tom Johnson House, Haddington Road, Dublin 4.
