180 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Education if she will approve proposals submitted by Kerry County Council for an exchange of land in the vicinity of the proposed community school in Rathmore, County Kerry to facilitate the county council and the local community in the development and extension of a cemetery in Rathmore. [3021/97]

The proposal submitted by Kerry County Council in respect of the exchange of lands in the vicinity of Rathmore community school would compromise the new school and also result in the purchase of a smaller land locked field which is not contiguous with my Department's land. Consequently, the Department will not be proceeding with the proposed swop of lands.
