Question:73 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Finance if he will have arrangements made to issue a VAT rebate to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [2888/97]
Written Answers. - VAT Rebate.
I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the person concerned applied for a VAT repayment on 23 September 1996 for the July-August 1996 period in the sum of £5,144. On 7 October last the trader's accountants were requested to supply additional information to support the claim. In the absence of any response the claim was formally disallowed on 1 November. If the trader's accountants provide the additional information requested, the claim can be re-examined.
