134 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment the number of added years a teacher (details supplied) in County Kilkenny would be entitled to if he were to avail of early retirement under circular S6/87 added years for superannuation purposes. [3509/97]
An assessment of added years under circular S.6/87 requires detailed information in relation to the individual concerned and his or her employment. The information required is set out in an application form which may be obtained from the individual's employing authority. I would point out that, the grant of added years under the circular is subject to my sanction, an application must first be made through his or her employing authority by the person concerned. In the case of the person named, no such application has been received in my Department.
