133 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if he will give details of the EU directives, regulations and conventions in respect of which his Department has responsibility and which have not been incorporated into Irish law; and if he will give a timescale for completion of the work in respect of each instrument. One EU directive as follows has not yet been transposed into Irish law:

Council Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of wild fauna and flora, Habitats Directive.

I propose to sign the necessary regulations under the European Communities Act, 1972, to transpose the directive on Wednesday 19 February 1997.
