181 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Education the efforts, if any, the Government is making to ensure the provision of a Formula 1 motor racing track here; her views on the provision of such a track; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3700/97]

My Department has no proposals for the provision of a Formula I motor racing track. The provision of such a track would be a matter in the first place for the motor racing interests and authorities involved.
