215 Mr. E. Byrne asked the Minister for Justice the number of drug-related arrests made in each of the years from 1991 to 1996 in Leixlip, Celbridge, Maynooth and Naas, County Kildare; and the percentage of those arrests relating to heroin, cannabis and ecstasy. [3834/97]
I am informed by the Garda authorities that the number of arrests under the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 including detentions for the purposes of search under section 23 of the Act for 1991 to 1995 in relation to Leixlip, Naas / Maynooth / Celbridge are as follows:
