Question:

265 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the amounts of headage grants paid per county in each of the years from 1994 to 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3797/97]

The amounts of headage and premia including arable aid premia, paid per county for the years 1995 and 1996 are outlined on the following table. The total amount of headage and premia paid to farmers in 1994 was £593 million. A county breakdown is not readily available but details will be sent to the Deputy within a week.
