Question:

95 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for an operation to remove abscesses in view of the fact that she has been on the waiting list since June 1996 and she has been unable to work since November 1995. [3535/97]

Limerick East): As the provision of surgical treatment to eligible persons in County Mayo is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board, in the first instance, I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

96 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for an eye operation in view of the fact that he lives alone, is practically blind and unable to look after himself and has been waiting for some time. [3536/97]

Limerick East): As the provision of ophthalmic treatment to eligible persons in County Mayo is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board, in the first instance, I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

97 Mr. Browne (Wexford) asked the Minister for Health the reason for the delay in having a person (details supplied) in County Wexford called for a hearing test; and if he will expedite this matter. [3561/97]
