Vol. 475 No. 3

Order of Business (Resumed).

Will the Taoiseach indicate when the public service management Bill will be circulated? That Bill to update the 1924 Act is one of the main planks of the Government's promises to ensure openness, transparency and accountability but, as yet, we have not had sight of it.

It will be circulated this session, it is being finalised at the moment.

It will be circulated this century?

The Taoiseach was probably more accurate the first time.

I may return the interest of the House from Tiananmen Square to Oileán Cléire off the south west coast where, due to the inclement weather, the people have been without food or any kind of sustenance for the past four or five days. They are stranded. Has the Government or the Minister with responsibility for the islands any plans to use a helicopter service to provide food and shelter for the people of Oileán Cléire?

I sympathise with the Deputy on this matter, but he must find a more appropriate time to raise it.

(Interruptions.)

I understand Deputy Eoin Ryan wishes to move a Private Members' Bill.
