104 Mr. B. Ahern asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will consider a further backdate of pension payment for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 10. [4778/97]

The person concerned applied for an old age contributory pension when he retired from employment in May 1996. He reached age 66 in November 1994. Payment of pension was backdated for six months to 1 December 1995 in accordance with the regulations governing late claims.
