Question:144 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for the Environment if he will act under section 50 1 (b) of the Roads Act, 1993 in connection with the proposed road development at Kinsale, County Cork. [4923/97]

I understand that the development concerned is the subject of a planning application to Cork County Council. As the proposed development does not involve the construction of a public road, section 50 (1) (b) of the Roads Act, 1993 does not apply to it.
