Question:196 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Justice if she will have arrangements made with the Land Registry to expedite the following case (details supplied) in County Westmeath. [5796/97]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application for first registration which was lodged on 5 December 1996. I understand that replies dated 24 February 1997 have been received to queries which were issued on 8 January 1997. Following receipt of these replies, the case is being re-examined. It is not possible to estimate a completion date at this stage.
