Question:254 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Education when repairs will be approved for a school (details supplied) in County Galway. [8089/97]
Written Answers. - Schools Refurbishment.
Due to the current level of contractual commitments, I am not in a position to sanction improvement works at the school referred to by the Deputy. The Deputy will be aware I announced a new scheme for improvement works and the school will soon be paid £2,000, plus £9 per pupil, to undertake minor works to buildings, services and furnishings. It is open to the school to use this money for the work in question.
