434 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Marine the number of personnel working in his office on a non-established basis; and the number of such personnel who have unlimited use of mobile telephones which are charged to or reimbursed by his Department. [8288/97]
I have four personnel engaged in a non-established capacity, two of whom are based in the Department of the Marine. They are the programme manager and special adviser. I also have a personal assistant and personal secretary, both of whom are based in the Department of Defence, reflecting my dual miniterial roles.
My programme manager and special adviser are the only members of staff who have the use of, and access to, a mobile telephone. The costs incurred are charged to the Department of the Marine and Defence respectively.
