Final decisions have not yet been made regarding the staffing allocations for primary schools for the 1997-98 school year.
While I am committed to implementing further improvements in the pupil teacher ratio, I have no plans at present to establish parity between the staffing schedules which apply to gaelscoileanna and Gaeltacht schools.
