125 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice the moneys which have been spent or allocated to date for the Garda information technology strategy entitled PULSE; the estimated expenditure on PULSE in 1997; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [9292/97]

Minister for Justice (Mrs. Owen):

To date a total of £7,156,276 has been spent on the PULSE project. It is anticipated that £5,789,000 will be spent during 1997.
