70 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Education if she will approve the establishment of further third-level campus developments or outcentres at Galway, Athlone and Carlow regional technical colleges; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [9446/97]
I have asked the Higher Education Authority to undertake a general review of outreach centres of higher education institutions and to report and make recommendations thereon. The authority has determined its own working procedures for the review and has appointed a technical working group. It has consulted and sought submissions from interested groups.
The question of further outcentres at the colleges referred to by the Deputy will be determined in the light of advice from the Higher Education Authority.
