Question:74 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding the progressing of the proposed extension to De La Salle College, Dundalk, County Louth. [10035/97]

The extension project at De La Salle College, Dundalk is currently at stage 5, that is bill of quantities of the architectural planning process.
I am pleased to inform the Deputy that following a review of the post-primary capital programme, I have recently approved funding for the extension project at De La Salle College, Dundalk.
This means that the project will proceed to tender and construction as soon as the appropriate documentaton is completed and approved by my Department.
