138 Mr. E. Byrne asked the Minister for Education the financial allocations for each vocational education committee for 1997; whether these have not yet been finalised; when information will be available on them; and when the vocational education committees will be notified. [10480/97]

The 1997 financial schemes for the individual vocational education committees will be determined shortly following examination of the 1996 financial returns of the 38 vocational education committees, the last of which was received recently. Each vocational education committee will then be notified of its allocation.
