Question:172 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Education the community groups which have applied for funding in County Leitrim under her Department's sports and reconciliation national lottery funds. [10668/97]
I propose to reply to Questions Nos. 171 and 172 together.
My Department has over 1,200 applications on hand seeking assistance under the national lottery funded sports capital programme.
Applications are accepted on an on-going basis and new applications are received daily. It would take an inordinate amount of staff time to provide details of each application for individual counties which could not be justified having regard to scarce staff resources. However, my Department will be pleased to provide the Deputy with information on any particular case in which he may have an interest.
