77 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Health if he will provide adequate funding for La Léche League of Ireland to continue to provide support and information to nursing mothers and health professionals; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10637/97]

The health promotion unit of my Department has provided support for La Léche League of Ireland over a number of years. Officers of the unit met recently with representatives from La Léche League of Ireland to discuss funding for initiatives in 1997.
