Question:56 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Taoiseach when a decision will be made on an application in respect of a local development grant for an association (details supplied) in County Galway. [10809/97]
Written Answers. - Grant Payments.
This application was received in response to the public advertisement on the 1997 scheme of grants in support of local development projects. More than 450 applications, covering all 26 counties were received. The total provision available in 1997 is £250,000 and the applications are currently being assessed under the criteria approved for the scheme.
Applicants will be notified as soon as the assessments are completed, which I expect will be by end May.
