133 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Education the reason an appointment has not been made at a school (details supplied) in County Galway; when this will be done; the amount allocated for this appointment in 1997; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [11174/97]
Since my appointment as Minister for Education, I have allocated almost 100 additional ex-quota remedial posts to second level schools. The posts were allocated on the basis of priority of need and having regard to the existing provision within schools and having regard to the recommendations of my Department's psychological service.
The position of this school will be considered when next it is possible to extend the remediation service at second level.
