134 Mr. Bree asked the Minister for Education if a submission has been received from Carbury national school, The Mall, Sligo, seeking funding for the development of a new play area at the school; if so, if the submission has been considered by the primary school section of her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department has received an application for grant aid towards the cost of providing a new play-area at Carbury national school, The Mall, Sligo.
The primary buildings unit of my Department has requested a report in this matter from the local Office of Public Works. When this report is received, the question of providing grant-aid towards the cost of the proposed project will be considered in the light of the urgency of the works and available capital funding.
