20 Mr. Browne (Wexford) asked the Minister for the Marine the plans, if any, he has for the further development of secondary harbours such as Clogherhead, and extra dredging at Kilmore Quay, County Wexford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11246/97]
Under the 1997 capital programme for fishery harbours secondary harbour development works are being assisted at Clogherhead, County Louth, Ahakista, County Cork and Bunowen, County Galway in addition to works at the fishery harbour centres and other major fishery harbours.
A major programme of capital investment has recently been completed at Kilmore Quay. The case for further expenditure on additional dredging at Kilmore will be the subject of further assessment from technical and other relevant perspectives.
