Limerick East): I am making available a capital grant of £150,000 to Midleton and District Day Care Limited towards the cost of a day care centre which it intends to build in the grounds of Midleton District Hospital. The grant will be paid in two moieties of £75,000 each, the first this year and the second in 1998.

Question:80 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Health if he will make an allocation in 1997 to fund the building of a day care centre at Bandon District Hospital, County Cork; and when he will sanction the commencement of work on the centre. [11863/97]
Limerick East): I am making available a capital grant of £100,000 towards the cost of a day care centre in Bandon, County Cork. The grant will be paid in two moieties of £50,000 each, the first this year and the second in 1998. This will enable work to commence on the centre this year.
