Vol. 478 No. 7

Written Answers - Road Traffic.

Austin Deasy

Question:

129 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment if he has satisfied himself that the infrastructure of Passage East, County Waterford, is capable of handling the traffic which will be generated by a car ferry with twice the capacity of the current ferry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12187/97]

It is a matter for Waterford County Council, as roads authority, to consider the impact of the new car ferry on the roads infrastructure in the vicinity of Passage East.
