150 Miss Harney asked the Minister for the Environment when he received an application from the Ballagh and Ballybeg group water scheme for a water carrying pipe to service both areas; and when a decision will be made on the application. [12713/97]
Further progress on the Ballagh-Ballybeg group water scheme is dependent on the prior construction of the north Roscommon regional water supply scheme, extension to Ballagh and Ballybeg. Roscommon County Council submitted a preliminary report for this project to my Department on 1 March 1994 but, having regard to the existing high level of commitments under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve it.
