252 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Justice the amounts and purpose of any funding or grant allocations made by her Department or by bodies under the aegis of her Department to organisations (details supplied) in each of the years from 1995 to date in 1997. [12842/97]

Amount of funding

Conference jointly hosted by the Department of Justice and Women's Aid (which is a member of the National Women's Council) on the subject of developing an effective response to violence against women in intimate relationships with men.

£4,850 in 1995

The Department funded the work on the report of the national Women's Council's Working Party on the Legal and Judicial Process for Victims of Sexual and other Crimes of Violence against Women and Children.

£8,000 in 1995£6,412 in 1996

There was no funding or grant allocations made to date in 1997.
