Vol. 479 No. 2

Written Answers. - Departmental Correspondence.

Brian Cowen

Question:

96 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Health the reason his Department responded in print to a letter sent to him in Braille; if he has had investigations made into the incident reported by a person (details supplied) in Dublin 2; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12674/97]

Limerick East): A letter which was sent to my office in both print and Braille format from the individual named in the question was acknowledged in print format only. I have now received a full report on the incident from the chairman of the relvant health agency and I am arranging for a detailed reply, in Braille, to be sent to the person concerned as soon as possible.

In the circumstances, I do not consider that it would be helpful or appropriate to make any further comment on the matter raised by the Deputy.
