154 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Defence the number of apprentices for enrolment at the Apprentice School, Devoy Barracks, Naas, County Kildare, in the current year; if he will confirm the continued use of the barracks as an apprentice school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15017/97]

Arrangements are at present being made to hold a competition for the recruitment of 17 apprentices, ten of whom will be assigned to the Apprentice School Naas, County Kildare.
