208 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Finance when phase one of the study into the reasons for the accelerating silting of the Cashen Estuary will be completed; and the future plans, if any, he has to rectify the matter. [14479/97]

The report in question is expected about the middle of October and any further action will be considered in the light of the recommendations contained therein.
