Vol. 480 No. 7

Written Answers. - Sellafield Nuclear Plant.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

42 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Public Enterprise whether the State will finance the legal action being taken by a number of County Louth residents against the Sellafield nuclear plant; the reason the Government has not made a detailed response in view of the fact that her Department indicated that this would be done by early September 1997; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14915/97]

I have already outlined the position regarding State financial assistance to the County Louth residents for their High Court action against BNFL in my response to Deputies Stagg and Yates.
